We are excited to share that we have set a new record for Active Kids re-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year! With an large percentage of returning families and many siblings joining for the first time, most days are now at full capacity.

We will be reaching out this week to the handful of families who will be offered our remaining spots.

If space becomes available, we will contact families directly with an offer for full enrollment or partial days if that is all we can accommodate initially. If additional days open later, we will prioritize enrolled families to offer them their remaining requested days.

We will review waitlist submissions frequently and expect openings to arise through the end of this school year. However, summer months and September tend to bring the most schedule changes, so we encourage families to remain on the waitlist as adjustments are made.

We will keep this page updated and notify families as soon as spaces become available.
While submitting the pre-registration form does not guarantee a spot, it allows us to assess availability and reach out accordingly.
Last year, many families on the waitlist were ultimately enrolled, and we anticipate similar movement this year.

Active Kids will run full days when school is closed-
half-days, most snow days if we are able to have staff arrive safely, and scheduled days off.
Also, full weeks of fun during February and April school vacations.
Active Kids is open until 6:00 PM daily.

THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
As a working parent of three boys, it was very important for me to find reliable after-school care that was a good fit for their active personalities. We have been attending Active Kids at the Adirondack Club since my oldest was in kindergarten (he is now about to start 7th grade) and it has been a great experience. Our kids enjoy the range of activities offered and thrived in the friendly, engaging environment the Active Kids program offers. The staff is fantastic, always very helpful and interactive with both the kids and parents. It is great to be greeted by name and with a smile when you arrive after a long day. Our boys really enjoy making friends from other schools and often will tell me they were not ready to leave because they were having too much fun! The program's flexibility, hours, and options for both no school days and school vacation weeks were extremely helpful and appreciated as a working mom.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Welcome to the The Adirondack Club Help Center. We have pulled some of the most frequently asked questions from our Active Kids parents and compiled them all into one place. Chances are you’ve got the same questions that were on someone else’s mind. Should you have any other questions that we may have missed, don’t hesitate to reach out!
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE FOR MY ACTIVE KID?
Your Active Kid will get off of our leased buses and be greeted by our awesome staff of childcare professionals. The kids, with staff, will all have the option to head to the pool for some energy burning and fun! Every Active Kid will then be offered an array of snacks such as fruits and veggies and other quick bites like pretzels, cookies and tortilla chips.
Snack time is always accompanied by a choice of juice or water.
Throughout the week our active schedule rotates through high-energy programming such as indoor and outdoor fitness and outdoor play time and active games! Our Active Kids are always encouraged to socialize through our scheduled activities as well as during their free choice time! Homework can also be worked on daily.
All daily activities in the after-school program are included in the monthly cost.
HOW IS THE STAFF SELECTED?

Active Kids staff are carefully chosen to accommodate the ever-changing needs of our growing program. Lead teachers are required to have a background/degree in education with a focus on the early stages of education. Many of our assistant staff members have been working in our summer camps, childcare, and afterschool program for years.
WHAT DAYS CAN I SIGN UP FOR?
Our program is currently accepting 2 days, 3 days, 4 days and 5 days per week applications from one-month to a full school year’s commitment. Space is limited, please inquire about availability.
There is a $50 registration fee for the After School program.
HOW DOES BILLING WORK AND WHAT HAPPENS ON HALF DAYS AND
NO SCHOOL DAYS?
EARLY RELEASE DAYS: 12:00 PM -6:00
You MUST pack your Active Kid a NUT FREE lunch because we do not supply lunch in Active Kids.
FULL DAYS OFF: A full day of fun at Active Kids to keep your children moving and learning even on a day off from school!
Occasionally we go offsite on a field trip on days off from school.
Information about field trip/ fees will be presented in a permission slip flyer.
If it is your child’s regularly scheduled day, you are responsible for payment whether they attend or not. There is an additional fee for No School Days and Half Days only if they are utilized. These additional fees will be charged to your Club Account and processed with the EFT the following month. You are still responsible for payment on your child’s regularly scheduled days when they do not attend due to family vacations, appointments, illness, sports, etc.
If it is your child’s regularly scheduled day and full-day care is not needed, they are welcome to attend the program from 3-6 pm as payment has already been made for after school care.
We typically will be offering daily camps during part of December Break and weekly camps on both February and April Vacations weeks. There is no fee for vacation weeks unless they are utilized.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM KEEP
PARENTS INFORMED?
Active Kids Director and Site Coordinator, create a monthly newsletter that gets emailed to all Active Kids parents and is also posted on our Active Kids Board located in the hallway leading to Childcare.
