HOW ARE THE COUNSELORS SELECTED?

At The Adirondack Club, our Arts Camps are designed to spark imagination, encourage creativity, and provide every camper with a meaningful, hands-on experience. Whether your child is just beginning to explore the world of art in Arts Camp Jr. or is ready to dive deeper into their artistic journey in Arts Camp, we’ve created a space where every young artist can thrive.

Our Arts Camp counselors are carefully selected not just for their ability to lead and supervise, but for their passion for creativity and experience working with children. Each week, our dedicated Lead Arts Camp Counselors and Camp Coordinator develop an engaging curriculum with age-appropriate projects tailored to each group. From painting and sculpture to mixed media and collaborative group pieces, campers are guided through inspiring activities that promote expression and confidence.

Campers of all ages will feel supported and encouraged by our outstanding team – many of whom leave a lasting impression, with campers still talking about them long after the summer ends!

All of our counselors are CPR, First Aid, and AED certified through the American Red Cross and are fully screened through Massachusetts’ CORI/SORI system. You can trust that your camper is in capable, caring, and creative hands.

WHAT DAYS ARE THE FIELD TRIP FOR ARTS CAMP

Arts Camp isn’t just about what happens in the classroom; it's also about exploration, inspiration, and bringing art to life in new ways! Most times, Arts Camp field trips take place on Thursdays and feature a mix of exciting off-site excursions and on-site events. From visiting local cultural spots to welcoming special guest artists, each experience is designed to spark creativity and expand your camper’s artistic world.

Whether your child is showcasing their work in a themed art display or participating in a collaborative workshop, these special events are often a highlight of the week! Transportation is provided for all off-site trips, and every outing is fully supervised by our Arts Camp Counselors, The Summer Camp Arts and Crafts Coordinator and the creative lead behind our team of artists and counselors, the Arts Camp Creative Coordinator.
